The main reason people decide to have a face lift is to reverse the signs of ageing - such as lines and wrinkles, loose skin and brown spots. Although many non surgical treatments are available many people choose to reverse these signs with the help of face lift surgery as it is a proven method.
Facelift surgery in Thailand can be a very cost effective option, it is one of the most commonly requested procedures by both men and women who want to look as young as they feel. The average costs for face lift surgery in Thailand are often seventy percent less than the cost in Western countries.
It is performed to remove or reduce the skin that has lost its natural elasticity - usually around the eyes, mouth and jaw line - smooth the skin, reduce lines and wrinkles and rejuvenate a tired-looking appearance.
There are several different ways the facelift surgery can be performed. In most cases a lower face lift is done in combination with neck lift surgery to give the best results.
In some cases the surgeon will also suggest a brow lift and if all of these procedures are done together then this is called a full face lift. Quite often the surgeon will also suggest having upper or lower eyelid surgery when having face lift surgery to give the entire face that youthful look.
Our surgeons in Thailand will let you know which options are best for you when it comes to face lift surgery by reviewing your photos initially and also during your face to face consultation.
Face lift surgery generally involves your surgeon making an incision along your hairline, down past the front of your ears and into the hairline behind the ears. Any scarring will be hidden within the hair and natural creases of the face and it will fade quickly until it is barely visible. Once the incision has been made the surgeon carefully separates the skin from the underlying tissue, before repositioning excess fat and tightening the facial muscles. The skin is then lifted and stitched into place along the original incision and any excess skin removed.
Face Lift Surgery generally last for 2-3 hours and is performed under a general anesthetic. After having face lift surgery in Thailand it is advised that you have 2 weeks off work and do not exercise for at least 8 weeks.
